Toshiba Satellite T135, Notebook with long battery life

Latest review from notebookreview.com The 13-inch Toshiba Satellite T135 is an Intel CULV-powered ultraportable boasting long battery life, a thin chassis, and a very low weight. Powered by the 1.3GHz SU4100 and Intel X4500 integrated graphics this notebook is a big step above netbooks but still offers many similar features that are attractive to people who don't want to lug around a full-size notebook. In this review we see how well the Toshiba Satellite T135 performs in our tests, and if it is really worth the price premium over a standard netbook.

Acer Extensa 5635Z Review

The Extensa 5635Z is a business-centric notebook, and like most business models the core visuals take a back seat to functionality. This inevitably leads to a rather plain looking notebook, and there's really nothing in the Extensa's design that truly stands out. The keyboard uses just about every last millimetre of space open to it, which enables Acer to include a number pad on a model with a 15.6-inch display screen. The flip side of that is that some of the keys are very close together, and the cursor keys suffer from being quite small and being stuck under dedicated Euro and Dollar keys.

XPS Adamo, Super Slim Laptop from Dell

Competition in the world of laptop products more intensively conducted. After a long period of products emerged Mac Book Air from Apple is very thin, Dell product appears Adamo 13's 1.4GHz Core 2 Duo in March as a challenger to the Mac Book Air from performance problems and thinness.

However, Dell was not complacent in its products that are thinner than the Mac Book Air. Recently, Dell posted a web of information about the appearance of the XPS Adamo. This series has sizes much thinner than the Adamo 13's. Adamo XPS thickness is below 10mm.

It seems that the XPS Adamo information is still a lot of secrecy. Web that shows the appearance of the XPS haya Adamo contain pictures and email verification. As reported by Electronista KabarIT from, from super-thin size is likely Adamo XPS using Intel's latest processor is CULV (Consumer Ultra Low Voltage).

CULV is Intel's latest products for products super thin laptop. CULV have the lower voltage than the Intel Atom

Sony VAIO NW VGN-NW150J Notebook Review

One of the NW Series' hipper features is the inclusion of DeviceVM's Splashtop, which enables you to hop on the Internet without having to boot Windows or even spin up the hard drive. Splashtop is a rudimentary operating system, based on Linux, that launches from the computer's BIOS. Once we'd configured the system to access our wireless network, we were surfing the Internet within 20 seconds of pushing the Web button above the keyboard.

This version of Splashtop can't access your hard drive, but you can download and store files on a device plugged into any of the NW's three USB ports. Sony ships this machine with the 64-bit version of Windows Vista Home Premium and was offering a free Windows 7 upgrade at press time.

Sony's 1.6lb. VAIO X Review

Here goes Sony claiming another world's first. If you'll recall, the company made a pretty big fuss over its VAIO P when that launched back at CES. It refused to call it a netbook (probably due to the fact that Windows Vista was loaded on), but most everyone else assumed it really was the planet's most expensive (and oddly shaped) netbook.

Now, there's the VAIO X, which Sony is using to yet again push the boundaries of what's possible in the laptop sector. Called the world's "lightest notebook," the VAIO X series weighs just 1.6lbs. and is barely over 0.5" thick. For those bad with math, that's about as thick as your BlackBerry. Yeah, wild! It's built with a carbon-fiber chassis and boasts a 16:9 aspect ratio display, and integrated Verizon Wireless 3G is included to keep you connected on the go.

The screen itself is just 11.1" diagonally, but yet again Sony refuses to label this a netbook. The scratch-resistant LCD display is LED backlit, and it ships with a standard 3.5 hour battery and a super extended battery for up to 14 hours of usage. The keyboard is the chicklet style that many companies are going to (like Asus), and the multitouch trackpad ensures that you can use your fingers to zoom in/out and rotate images. Also, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS modules are included, not to mention a quick SSD, Windows 7 Home Premium and a starting price of $1300.

It's available to pre-order in black or gold starting today, and honestly, the price is pretty reasonable given just how unique the form factor is. Too bad the 2GHz Atom Z550 won't provide enough horsepower to really show off 1080p content or heavy-duty gaming, but no one really expects that from a machine this thin, anyway.
